Les Hauts de Gordes is a unique property in the heart of the stunning Luberon in Provence. Perched on a hillside, this luxury villa occupies an idyllic position and offers panoramic views over the region.
Set on a six-acre plot across terraced gardens, the property offers plenty of space to relax and rejuvenate. Throughout the beautifully landscaped gardens, guests will find a huge, split-level infinity pool flanked with sun loungers, multiple terraces with outdoor living spaces, and a pool house with an outdoor kitchen perfect for al fresco dining.
Moreover, a garden cinema with amphitheatre seating and a petanque court offer entertainment options for all ages, while the two traditional dry-stacked stone bories (Provence’s neolithic-era agricultural storage spaces) add a touch of history.
Art is a focus of the villa, and around 40 original works are dotted throughout the premises. Some pieces were specially commissioned for the property, including the swimming pool designed by Robin Vermeersch, an outdoor art installation in tribute to Vasarely, the traditional Box Tree Curtain in the outdoor kitchen, and the stunning blue entrance portal designed by Gaultier Rimbault-Joffard.
Indoors, the stunning display of arts and crafts continues, including a collection of original ceramics and paintings by Victor Marqué. The spacious villa effortlessly combines contemporary design and traditional building materials such as local stone.
The greenhouse-inspired lounge room with a glass ceiling and walls means the spectacular views can be enjoyed from inside as well as out. Adjoining the bright and airy lounge is an atrium-style dining room and a glass-ceilinged kitchen with stunning feature tiling.
Guests can enjoy a beautiful wellness area with a sauna and hammam, a well-equipped gym, and a yoga studio. In addition, the villa comes with a handy electric car, perfect for exploring the local area.
Up to 15 guests can be accommodated in seven spacious bedrooms with en-suite facilities. This includes a family suite with a separate children’s bunk room, and a two bedrom annexe for those seeking a little extra privacy.
With its contemporary design, stunning features, and sprawling grounds, Les Hauts de Gordes is the perfect choice for both art and culture buffs and nature lovers.
