For those looking for a mix of privacy and proximity to a city, Villa Olive Nest is the perfect choice. Perched on a hilltop less than 15 minutes’ drive from the centre of Chania in Crete, the villa is set amongst shrubland and enjoys views over the city and out to sea.
The villa is surrounded by an extensive driveway with plenty of parking, a heliport, and beautifully-landscaped gardens. Guests can enjoy a dip in the heated swimming pool or a bathe in the Jacuzzi before lying back on sun loungers to soak up the rays, or catch up on a holiday read under the shade of an umbrella. The pool area also has an outdoor kitchen and bar, perfect for relaxes al fresco dining.
A vast terrace stretches out from the top floor and features comfortable seating and a dining table, perfect for evening meals with a view.
On the ground floor, there are several smaller terraces all with tables, hammocks and outdoor seating ideal for a morning coffee. At one end is a cinema screen for movie nights under the stars.
The villa comprises three separate units with nine double bedrooms in total, comfortably sleeping up to 18 adults. Each of the units have their own living and dining rooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a terrace area, making it the ideal property for groups of families and friends travelling together.
The top floor features the main open-plan living and dining area, which boasts high ceilings and full-length sliding doors along each wall, allowing light and fresh air to flow through. The comfortable lounge area has a cosy fireplace and a large flat-screen TV with plenty of entertainment facilities including Netflix, games consoles, and an iPad.
A large wooden dining table separates the lounge from the modern and elegant kitchen. The kitchen is fully-equipped with all the appliances and amenities needed to cook up a gourmet feast.
On the ground floor, each wing has its own living and dining room leading out to a terrace area and a smaller – yet still fully-equipped – kitchen. There is also a treadmill and a sauna for guest use.
All bedrooms have queen-size beds and private or shared terraces. The three master bedrooms all boast en-suite bathrooms, two with luxurious bathtubs. The remaining six bedrooms have a shared bathroom per two rooms.

Villa Olive Nest is an absolute dream! The views from the hilltop are breathtaking, especially at sunset. The heated pool and Jacuzzi were a highlight, and the outdoor kitchen made dining al fresco a joy. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, and the sauna was a lovely touch. Perfect for large groups!

This villa exceeded all expectations. The location is ideal—close enough to Chania for exploring but private and peaceful. The cinema screen under the stars was a hit with our group, and the multiple terraces provided plenty of space to relax. The kitchens are well-equipped, and the staff were incredibly helpful.

A stunning property with everything you could need for a luxurious getaway. The views over Chania and the sea are unforgettable. The pool area is perfect for lounging, and the outdoor bar was a great addition. The bedrooms are comfortable, and the en-suite bathrooms are spacious. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time at this villa. The layout is perfect for large groups, with separate living areas that still feel connected. The gardens are beautifully landscaped, and the pool was a lifesaver in the heat. The proximity to Chania made it easy to explore, but we loved coming back to the peace and quiet.
